Momma said I earned an ice cream. I honestly felt like a little kid who got a gold star for being brave at the doctor (and making it through with the strength you all blessedly sent my way), as we stopped for a scoop of vegan pumpkin spice on our way home. After but a tiny taste of light, hint of progress and tease of normality, I once again have fallen deep into pain, trauma, overwhelm and confusion. The seasons are a-changin’ and I can only pray my health may one day follow suit… 🤞🏼🍦🎃
