My takeaways from our extraordinary plant-based meal at El Grifo, the 100% vegan restaurant and craft beer tap & juice bar in the heart of Puerto Rico:


— Passionfruit sangria is a divine gift


— Wooden troughs are the perfect way to serve bite-sized stuffed mushroom caps 


— I can never say no to nachos and happily document my eternal #vegannachoquest on Instagram


— Eggplant encrusted with chickpea flour and covered with marinara sauce, mozzarella and dried Italian herbs tastes exactly like my dad’s chicken parmesan from childhood


— Raw multilayer vegan Neapolitan cheesecake should end every meal
