“Thank you — for everything you said and do. But really, thank you for being an independent thinker.” Just one of the powerful student responses to my speech at UC Santa Cruz that blew me away! What an engaged, inquisitive, big-thinking, proactive group. It was my honor to be invited to the UCSC campus to speak about environmentalism, social justice, civic engagement, activism, identity, perseverance, the works — and I look forward to returning to lecture among the redwoods again soon! 🗣👩🏼💻📝👨🏽🏫🌲
