The Power of Movements with AJC Atlanta

The power of protest. The power of movements. The power of Blacks and Jews uniting. It is a tremendous honor to speak at the Center for Civil and Human Rights in historic Atlanta, alongside civil rights leader Xernona Clayton, Rabbi Joshua Lesser and Urban League President Tereance Puryear - black, white, male, female, Christian, Jewish, gay, straight, old, young, east coast, west coast, all fiercely committed activists for justice - before a packed, engaged, passionate audience diverse in age, race, faith, background, approach, experience, all across the board. The struggle continues each and every day, building upon the work of the giants upon whose shoulders we stand. #ittakesavillage #unite #allone

"Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle." I never remain silent about the things that matter. I seek to do for others. I choose love, choose light. I organize in the name of peace. MLK taught us many things through his word and deed - which I seek to honor through my word and deed. "The time is always right to do what IS right." And now is that time more than ever before. #bethechange #mlk #respect
