My momma is just the best person ever. And I want to do everything I can to protect her — and the beautiful, flourishing, organic garden she’s started from seed in the backyard and grown with love during Covid, proudly showing off its progress to me. Please wear a mask. Please social distance. Please stay home. Lives like hers — and all of ours, old or young, immunocompromised or healthy, here or there — depend upon our collective actions.

This post really touched me because it shows how love and care turn into action, especially when family is involved. During that time, I was stressed and once asked someone to take my online exam for me so I could stay home and help protect my mom. Reading this reminded me how small choices can protect the people we love. It makes clear that looking out for each other truly matters every day. Please stay home. Lives like hers and all of ours, old or young, immunocompromised or healthy, here or there, depend upon our collective actions.
