I am proud to be Jewish — and never have I felt greater pride than while speaking to a room filled with 100 of my grandmothers: powerful, proud, proactive Jewish women deeply rooted in our tradition who have kept the flame of peoplehood, of culture, of institutions, of faith alive, instilling sacred values in the hearts, minds and muscle memory of their children. And now, grandchildren like me have the privilege and responsibility to carry that forward with renewed spirit, respect, unity, interpretation, strength and necessity in our communities, our nations, our homeland, our world.
