Edible Plants For The Win!

This is how I feel about organic farmers markets and new edible plants. 😍

And Puerto Rico has the very best, like this mountaintop market in Mariana. 🇵🇷 Hundreds (maybe even thousands?!) of people from all throughout the region come together once every couple of months for the beloved Mercado Agrícola de Humacao — and for good reason: local fruits and vegetables galore, homemade body care, artisan crafts, organic seeds and starts and plants and trees, delicious food, a wide variety of educational workshops, incredible energy, stunning views, and ever stronger community bonds.

Real talk though: how long do you think I will keep my new plants alive?! 🌱 I am determined (read: praying) that my Puerto Rican green thumb is better than my Californian one! 🤦🏽‍♀️ Plus I promised the farmers! 🙏🏾

And yes, I cut my t-shirt. 🤷🏻‍♀️ With a razor blade. For the first time ever. But only for practicality’s sake. I was doing physical labor outside all day (more on that soon) and the Puerto Rican sun ain’t no joke.
