This is how I feel about organic farmers markets and new edible plants. đ
And Puerto Rico has the very best, like this mountaintop market in Mariana. đ”đ· Hundreds (maybe even thousands?!) of people from all throughout the region come together once every couple of months for the beloved Mercado AgrĂcola de Humacao â and for good reason: local fruits and vegetables galore, homemade body care, artisan crafts, organic seeds and starts and plants and trees, delicious food, a wide variety of educational workshops, incredible energy, stunning views, and ever stronger community bonds.
Real talk though: how long do you think I will keep my new plants alive?! đ± I am determined (read: praying) that my Puerto Rican green thumb is better than my Californian one! đ€Šđœââïž Plus I promised the farmers! đđŸ
And yes, I cut my t-shirt. đ€·đ»ââïž With a razor blade. For the first time ever. But only for practicalityâs sake. I was doing physical labor outside all day (more on that soon) and the Puerto Rican sun ainât no joke.
