A Quarantine Discovery
I made hummus for the first time tonight. It was either that or chocolate chip cookie dough… with a chickpea base, which is apparently an Instagram craze. I was desperately missing fresh hummus (ומשפחה) in the Middle East, so savory won out. And it was one of the easiest things I’ve ever made, and one of the most satisfying… as my friend found out when he FaceTimed to unexpectedly find me devouring the entire bowl with farm fresh veggies.🥒Sorry for crunching cucumbers in your ear, but not at all sorry about this quarantine discovery. Chickpeas + tahini + lemon + garlic + olive oil + blender = heaven. It’s the little things that get us through, friends.
