Co-Founder of Teens Turning Green
When she was 13 years old, Schrode co-founded a youth movement that teaches students, schools, and communities how to make simple eco-friendly lifestyle choices. Last fall, her Teens Turning Green foundation launched Project Green Challenge, in which thousands of international high school and college students participated in a 30-day conscious-living challenge.
Volunteer your Time: "You won't affect any world change if you don't first start at home. Look on idealist.org for local ways to get involved."
Money: "Donate to the Environmental Working Group (ewg.org). It does some of the best environmental research and breaks down data in a way that makes it relevant to your life."
