Girls Gone Green
The amazing Girls Gone Green book by Lynn Hirshfield comes out today -- in major and independent bookstores around the country, as well as online! And believe me, it’s a fantastic, interesting, and visually-stimulating piece. I am honored to be included in this collection of stories about inspirational young women taking action to change our world. My chapter is the first one (yay!) and speaks all about my work with TTG. So much fun!
Here is the official description of the book:
Hayden Panettiere, Mischa Barton, Ellen Page— everyone’s going green these days, but saving the environment is a large task for anyone to take on, especially a teenager. Yet the everyday green girls profiled here have a passion—to do just that. They’ve stepped up, taken the initiative, and made their voices heard, and in doing so, they have helped to effect change—from creating a cosmetics line free of toxic chemicals to trying to conquer global warming to encouraging the use of wind power. They have launched a fantastic contest with the book as well, where one lucky green girl will win a green getaway for four on Amelia Island! Just submit a photo and a short write up about how you’re going green for a chance to win. Check the website for more details.
